Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin: Pretty Much Everything

Image
From WWD , by Jessica Iredale : If you have opened a fashion magazine, or any magazine for that matter, over the last decade or so, you’ve seen the work of Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, known in the industry simply as Inez and Vinoodh. The Dutch photographers (partners in work and life) are the creative eyes behind such contemporary imagery as the Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Yohji Yamamoto and Chloé ad campaigns, and editorial work that regularly appears in French Vogue, V, The New York Times and W. Starting Friday, a retrospective of 300 of their photographs from 1985 to 2010, titled “Pretty Much Everything,” will be on view at Amsterdam’s Foam Museum through Sept. 15. Next year, Taschen will expand on the exhibition with an epic tome of 666 photographs accompanied by original fiction by A.M. Homes. Here, van Lamsweerde speaks on behalf of the duo about its work — past, present and future. On being labeled fashion photographers: We love what clothes do to build

Heidi Klum - Short Bob Hairstyle

Image
The supermodel is spotting a new look, having shed off her long hair for a short bob. The supermodel, wife and mother wanted to try something new and then grow her long tresses back after some time. Heidi Klum reportedly got bored with her long hair and decided to cut it down into the short bob she is now wearing. This is what she told Jay Leno. This is not the first time she has cut it short…It is definitely the first time in a long time. Heidi Klum - Short Bob Hairstyle The short bob was a drastic move as she has never changed her hair that much. She wanted to try something new, which went very well. She looks…different, fresh, better and wonderfully cute with her new hair do. It is well defined neat and shows us the new Heidi Klum- one we have not seen in a long time. We have gotten used to seeing her with long locks which sometimes had a fringe and the short bob is breath of fresh air. Apparently, her long tresses needed a lot of care to remain as glossy as they always were and she

Marisa Miller - Long Layered Hairstyle

Image
Marisa Miller is a Victoria Secrets model who likes to wear her hair long and layered. This works well for her as stylists suggest that this is a good hair style for people with a long face or a heart-shaped one. This is so because it adds volume to their hair and so enhances their looks by bringing out their best facial features. The long layered hair can be worn in many different ways. You could simply have it straight but with layers. You could also have it layered with bangs or even curls to make it look more sophisticated. Marisa Miller - Long Layered Hairstyle The bangs not only make it look sophisticated but also work well to give it a lot of volume. The layers could then be highlighted with different hair color highlights. One may choose to combine medium and long length layers. If interested in getting this celebrity look, you could go to a stylist who is competent to have them make your hair. Of course this means that you would need to have long hair. If you don’t, you could

Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 Campaign Model: Karen Elson Photographer: Steven Meisel Stylist: Karl Templer Hair: Guido Palau Makeup: Pat McGrath From WWD: THREE’S COMPANY: Typically, Marc Jacobs gives his collections for Louis Vuitton a different spin in advertising versus the runway. For the forthcoming fall campaign, slated to break in a wide range of August titles, Christy Turlington, Karen Elson and Natalia Vodianova are shown preening in front of old-fashioned makeup mirrors backstage, as if they were ready to take a stroll around the fountain of the Louvre’s Cour Carré, the setting for Vuitton’s show during Paris Fashion Week in March. Ditto for the multigenerational casting — one model in her 20s, one her 30s, one her 40s — adding up to one of the most sophisticated Vuitton fashion campaigns to date, according to Antoine Arnault, Vuitton’s director of communica
